The Factories of the Future Awards 2021 seek the most innovative solutions and the best automation and industry 4.0 projects

Advanced Factories will be held from 20 to 22 April at the CCIB in Barcelona in person

Barcelona, 14 January 2021 - One more year, Advanced Factories seeks the most innovative projects in the new era of Industry 4.0 with the Factories of the Future Awards 2021. From 20 to 22 April, the largest European event on industrial automation, digital manufacturing and industry 4.0 will hold a new edition of these awards, which aim to recognize the work, leadership and transformation of those companies that are committed to the innovation and technology transfer in industry.

After receiving more than 170 proposals last year, the Factories of the Future Awards 2021 open the nominations to reward and give visibility to the most disruptive projects and solutions of the moment in four main categories:

  • Leadership in the digital transformation of the industrial plant: An award that recognizes those companies that have made a transformation of their processes by incorporating digitalization and 4.0 technologies (cybersecurity, Digital Twin, IoT, Industrial Cloud, Data Analytics, automation…) in their operations or management areas.
  • Most disruptive startup in the industrial field: Recognizes start-up companies and entrepreneurship projects under 6 years old that have a value proposition in the industrial field.
  • Best equipment or industrial system for the factory of the future: The award is aimed at those vendor solutions that allow the implementation of advanced machinery or innovative systems that incorporate digitization and automation in industries as a key element for competitiveness.
  • Research and development of Artificial Intelligence applied to industrial plants: Rewards projects that show the transformative impact of the use of natural language processing and Machine Learning technologies in cross-cutting areas such as computer vision, maintenance, assistants or contactless solutions.

Those interested in participating in the Factories of the Future Awards 2021 can submit your application until next February 26, 2021. In the last edition, these awards recognized companies such as Skis Rossignol, Graphenicalab, ATTEN2 and Gestamp.

5 years transforming the industry

Advanced Factories celebrates this year its fifth edition presenting the future of industrial automation. This is the annual event in which industry professionals meet and share the latest in industrial automation systems, robotics, additive manufacturing, 3D Printing, industrial software, Artificial Intelligence, artificial vision solutions and virtual simulation, Big Data, IoT, Cybersecurity, Industrial Cloud, Machine Learning and all 4.0 technologies associated with digital manufacturing.

That is why Advanced Factories will once again bring together 100% in person at the CCIB in Barcelona to professionals in the industrial sector with more than 360 exhibiting firms in order to present new solutions for the industry and boost and reactivate sales of the first semester of the year. All this following all the safety and hygiene measures and protocols established by the health authorities to ensure a safe business environment for all attendees.
