Habitat Clúster Barcelona members are preparing for a year full of challenges

Representatives of more than 30 organizations associated with Habitat Cluster Barcelona met in person to analyze the challenges and needs of the sector in the short and medium term and began to prepare to meet them. The meeting took place in the framework of the Annual Assembly and closed with the presentation "Leading the future" aimed at the digital transformation of organizations.

It is an intense year for companies working in the habitat sector. After a year and a half of pandemic, the market has changed and so has the way we act. Therefore, it becomes more necessary than ever for companies to share knowledge and strategies.

This was the starting point of the HCB General Assembly that was held this Tuesday, June 29 in hybrid format, at the facilities of LCI Barcelona and online. The participants, after listening to the welcome of the president Sergio Záforas and once approved the state of accounts of the entity, tackled the state of the project of fusion between the clusters HCB and CENFIM, in what is working for a few months now.

The following was an assessment of the activities carried out in the last financial year, with special emphasis on the two European-funded projects that HCB will have to lead: EXCELIVING (ideas and formulas to promote healthy and sustainable spaces and buildings throughout the value chain of the habitat sector) and GO INTERNATIONAL (favoring the internationalization of European companies in the habitat sector in markets outside the European Union). With the achievement of these two European projects, HCB is positioned as a reference for companies in the sector that want to boost their presence and their business opportunities internationally.

The results of the internal survey carried out among the 60 companies that make up the cluster were then analyzed. The main conclusions point to an increase in the demand of the associates of activities related to the marketing, the innovation and the digitalisation, and all that has to do with the sector Contract. It was also certified that almost half of HCB’s member organizations are developing projects around sustainability and the circular economy.

The session closed with the presentation "Leading the future", by Lluís Soldevila, expert in digital leadership.
