LCI Barcelona collaborates in the production of LibreGuard masks using the open source technology and its laser cutter. This is a non-profit initiative that has allowed the manufacture and distribution of up to 370 protective masks for healthcare equipment in less than 48 hours.
LCI Barcelona has joined the LibreGuard project to fight COVID-19. This voluntary, non-profit 100% initiative is the manufacture and distribution of free DIY masks that help healthcare staff work more protected from the rapid spread of the virus.
Citlali Hernández and Andrés Costa (manager and partner of TecnoFab, respectively), made in two days 370 visors with the laser cutter available at the school. These units have been distributed in kit together with PET plates and double-sided tape for their subsequent assembly in medical centers such as the Hospital Clínic, the Hospital de Sant Pau, the Hospital Parc Taulí, the El Foundation Maresme or the Aspace Catalunya Foundation, among others.
This design training center has also spearheaded other initiatives to stimulate creativity and a sense of community among its students.
