The Habitat Clúster Barcelona yesterday awarded the best projects in the sector during the virtual celebration of Habitat Night.

A nice decoration project for the oncology waiting rooms and a mobile application for managing access to spaces (accommodation, offices, houses ...) were the two big winners of the "Habitat Talent Awards". the first edition of some awards organized by the Habitat Clúster Barcelona.

The awards ceremony took place yesterday Thursday during Habitat Night, a virtual event held in the Impact Hub Barcelona building and broadcast virtually in streaming. The call was followed by more than 140 people who at all times had to participate and interact in a relaxed and emotional event led by the presenter and virtual magician, Jordi Nexus.

Thus, participants were able to vote for their favorite finalists, as a 60% of the score was from the jury and a 40% from the remote voting of the attendees.

The prize for the “most innovative product or project” went to the Akiles project, a mobile application to access any physical space that allows owners to generate as many virtual keys as they wish by modifying attributes such as temporality and location of use. As for the “collaborative project” category, the lucky one was “Maya's Illusion”, a social project that aims to improve the experience of all the people who have to be in the waiting rooms of oncology making the space more pleasant and in which different actors in the sector participate.

The “Habitat Talent Awards” aim to highlight the talent of the inhabited sector in Catalonia by rewarding the best projects of companies, entrepreneurs and / or start-ups developed in the habitat sector (furniture, lighting, textiles, decoration ...).

Habitat Night is the meeting point of the sector that brings together more than 100 companies and organizations in the sector with the desire to jointly build the future of the inhabited sector and consolidate itself as the leading business event in this field. The HCB wants to become a leading agent in the promotion and contribution of the competitiveness of the entire value chain of the housing sector in Catalonia.
